My wife wasn't too happy with me when I dented the hatchback door on her new Pacifica yesterday. Looking through dent repair listings on the net I chose Simon's place based solely on the website photos and the gut feeling I had after speaking to the guy on the phone for 45 seconds. I could have chosen a much closer service but I figured I'd go with my instinct and take a chance, driving the 15 miles to his place. The man seemed quite honest, explaining that I could probably take the car to a body shop and not be charged much more than he'd have to charge me. It was obvious to me that it would be a difficult dent and Simon admitted that he probably would be able to get it looking 95% better, but not 100%. I figured the body shop would need to keep the car for a day or two, whereas Simon could do the work right now, and worst case scenario, I'd have to pay for a re-do at the body shop if I wasn't satisfied. I decided to take the chance and gave Simon the nod. Well... he looked like he knew what he's doing, so I didn't get too horribly freaked out when he pulled out a heavy hammer and some other metal objects and began banging on the car. I stood in amazement, like watching a sculpturer chisel something beautiful out of a lump of material. The nasty dent was disappearing in front of my eyes. At the end though, he was right. He couldn't get it 100% better. It was only 98% and not noticeable to anyone not specifically looking for the repair. The experience cost me less than $200.00 plus the gas getting there. I'd definitely go back again, the next time I do something stupid with my wife's car. Thanks Simon!
